The 2008/2009 financial year of Wien Energie was largely shaped by developments on international energy markets. The commissioning of the co-generation power station Simmering 1 was reflected in the power generation statistics and earnings position for the first time during the period under review. Moreover, the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth also paid the co-generation grants for the years 2003 and 2004 during the period under review.
